Professional Summary
Pradeep Chowdhry's current interests include global entrepreneurship in the new economy, technology commercialization and angel investing. As a serial entrepreneur and angel investor over the last twenty years, he has launched several firms and participated from ideation to successful exits. Two of the firms (CALS India and Virage) went public, and two (Imageware and I-Connect) were acquired. Pradeep's main focus in is in developing viable concepts and helping strategically position firms through various stages of growth. He set up and managed an internet incubator with other angel investors in 2000. Even in a very adverse economic climate, five of the six firms initiated and served have survived and received subsequent funding or are being acquired. Pradeep believes this was due to selecting the right opportunity and right entrepreneur. Pradeep is also involved in several local firms. He was the founder/ president of the Detroit Chapter of TiE (The Indus Entrepreneurs (tie.org ). He is a member of the Academy of Management, CEO, New Enterprise Forum, Michigan High Tech Growth Collaboration and is actively involved in several other community organizations.
