Professional Summary
Dr. Bunsis received EMU’s Distinguished Faculty Teaching Award in 2002. As an attorney, he has focused on legal issues pertaining to the area of pension and postretirement benefits, topics he is able to bring to the students in his courses. He has done research on the relation between accounting numbers and stock prices and presented at national accounting conferences, research workshops at several universities, and professional conferences, including the Michigan Association of CPAs. Dr. Bunsis serves on the Department's Curriculum and Personnel Committee. In addition, he is the President of the Eastern Michigan chapter of the American Association of University Professors and has served as EMU's NCAA Faculty Representative.
