Bachelors of Business Administration—Major in Management

Several career options will be available to you upon completion of your degree, including line and staff supervisory and management positions. You also may want to consider a degree in human resources.

Although you can anticipate starting out in an entry-level position, advancement occurs more quickly in management than in technical fields, and most management structures contain many levels through which you can advance.

Career opportunities are available in the public and private sectors, including the service (financial, insurance, utilities, educations, healthcare, retail/wholesale) and manufacturing industries.

Salaries can range from the mid-$30s for entry-level positions to the mid $110s for corporate executives. The national average salary for typical middle-management jobs is $50,000 to $60,000, although salaries for human resources, marketing, and purchasing managers are higher.

Graduate degrees can greatly enhance careers in both general and human resource management. Continuing education, in the form of seminars and certification programs, is also beneficial.

Faculty advisor for this program is Dr. Fraya Wagner-Marsh.
