Welcome to the Department of Computer Information Systems at Eastern Michigan University.
We are proud to announce the new Graduate Certificate in Information Technology Governance starting Fall 2010.
The Information Technology Governance (ITG) graduate certificate program provides knowledge and experiences for professions in information assurance, security, and business governance, areas of identity management, information systems project risk management, and information technology auditing. | In addition to this new certificate, we offer a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Computer Information Systems, a Master of Science in Information Systems (MSIS), an Enterprise Business Intelligence specialization in the Master of Business Administration (MBA), a graduate certificate in Computer Information Systems, and co-offered with the Marketing Department the Supply Chain Management (SCM) specialization in the MBA and the graduate certificate in Supply Chain Management (SCM).
Our programs are aimed at preparing students in concepts, theory, and practices for designing, constructing, and maintaining information systems that support business processes. The knowledge and practical business applications development experiences gained by students in these programs prepares them for success as information systems professionals and continuing academic advancement. Learning experiences expose the students to challenges in developing leading edge information systems with a sound understanding of how information technology should integrate with strategic approaches to business management.
Faculty in our department also provide service courses in Operations Management for the BBA and MBA programs, and are integrally involved in the Supply Chain Management program. Department Mission
