Anne Balazs Welcome to the Department of Marketing at Eastern Michigan University.

For the second year in a row, students in the Eastern Michigan University Integrated Marketing Communications (IMC) program have taken top honors in the ECHO Awards conducted by the Direct Marketing Educational Foundation (DMEF). Read the full story here.

The department offers an undergraduate major and minor in Marketing. At the graduate level we offer a specialization in the Master of Business Administration degree in E-Business and Marketing
Management and a graduate certificate in E-Business and Marketing Management.

The department also provides administrative support for interdisciplinary undergraduate majors in International Business and Supply Chain Management, Master of Business Administration specializations in International Business and Supply Chain Management, graduate certificates in International Business and Supply Chain Management, and a fully online Master of Science in Integrated Marketing Communications degree.

The Business Law faculty offer courses for the undergraduate business core and the MBA, human resources, sports management, accounting and nonprofit graduate programs.

Our group of highly qualified faculty (most hold Ph.D. or JD degrees) are dedicated to deliver excellent educational experiences to our students.

Students may take advantage of extracurricular activities provided by the American Marketing Association (AMA). The AMA provides opportunities to network with fellow students and a variety of business professionals. The Student Advertising Association (SAA) is another club offering students important networking opportunities in the field of advertising.

In addition, students have the opportunity to participate in co-op and internship opportunities to hone their skills and gain valuable work experience before graduation. The department also hosts a sales competition sponsored by the Northwestern Mutual Financial Company.

In an effort to keep our alumni informed of current happenings in the department, we have started annual newsletter for each area of the department (international business, marketing, and supply chain management).  The first editions are here.
